strikes so many false notes — painfully obvious clichés, clunky dialogue — that we cannot recommend it wholeheartedly.Yup. It also is something of a mess -- like an unedited version. It's watchable, the stars (nice to see "Mattie" from True Grit in a small roll) mostly decent, so there's that.
