Another sanctimonious purveyor of assumed mandatory morals has been shown to be a hypocrite. [The comments will suggest who it is, but enough are out there to make a link particularly redundant.] This led me to think of the possible rejoinder (with the usual stereotypical preacher tones):
"My brethren! The voices of liberalism and vice has said that the fact that some malign and spurious charges of your faithful servant's assumed conduct suggests my speaking the truth of God's word (AMEN!) is meaningless! Noooo ... in fact, these voices of sin and moral decay are claiming it means that the very word of our Lord and Savior is false doctrine! (NOOOO!!!)
Now, I admit (holding back tears) to be a sinner ... are we not all sinners, even those who have faithfully professed their willingness to surrender themselves to the will of the Lord Jesus Christ?! (YESS!!!) We all are sinners ... none of us are without mark and forth, only the Lord Our God can claim that!!!! (Sure enough!)
But, does this mean my paltry attempts to speak His Word ... a calling I fully accepted even knowing all the hardships it might bring [surely some meth and a backrub is the least one can begrudge such efforts!] ... is meaningless! I say it is not! [NOOO!!! ... where do we go to vote for backward reprobates?]
You know, something like that. I am a bit wary about this sort of thing, since the private lives of many people might very well be deemed acceptable public fodder. I do not stick around such places, but I am sure conservative leaning blogs can find various hypocritical liberals out there -- they clearly exist, even if they are in smaller supply and less open to rejection since liberals are more open about diversity and the chance of some private failings.
Surely, however, many have their moral campaigns, some which they wish to put into legislation. [Some on the left, for instance, wish there were more hate speech codes ... liberals might not want to look deep into the private conduct of some of their numbers in this area.] So, a bit of due care is advisable.
[I'm not the best person for this sort of satire, since I feel a bit mean, but so be it.]
