Marcia Gay Harden is a great actress and has had lots of roles of late. Michael Keaton is a pretty good one himself, but not so much.
The Merry Gentlemen provides him a role and a directing shot. I
concur with Roger Ebert -- very good. Nice tone. The actress was in the also
worthwhile (if, I agree,
flawed)
The Girl in the Cafe (another small scale character drama). Keaton has a lot right here, music too.
