In honor of Wyatt coming back to
The Fosters, I offer this discussion of
a case of sex discrimination based on hair style. Melissa Harris-Perry had a show about black women's hair and the issue has a lot of complex nuances. Hair length was a major concern in the 1970 era (
here as applied in Native Americans) as suggested by the musical. Also, check out
this book.
