Social sciences was my cup of coffee in school, but math was okay -- liked geometrical proofs. Couldn't say "Pythagorean" Theorem though. Wonder Years' math babe Danica McKellar has a charming set of math books (showing it is a bit hard to explain math) meant for teenage girls. An interesting p.o.v. on subtracting negatives.
