My copy has no comma. Well written partial allegory of the black experience by Zora Neale Hurston that is fairly loyal to the biblical account. Has some interesting perspectives but becomes a bit less interesting near the end. Mostly seen thru Moses' eyes though others get a chance too. Think Miriam deserved a bit more than she received in that respect. Meanwhile, also enjoyed this documentary [An Act of Love] about a Methodist minister who got in trouble for officiating the marriage of his son in a same sex wedding. Both sides get their say.
