As with the SC beauty contestant, one feels a bit bad about making fun of Sen. Craig, in part because the "crime" is
dubious. [As comments in various places note, however, what he did is far from totally innocent either.] Likewise, it is
sad that he can be said to be from the state of delusion. Still, he did plead guilty. If he now wants to say he did nothing wrong, did he commit perjury? Likewise, there is always the
hypocrisy, including his own -- if his closet nature encourages anti-homosexual public policy positions, sympathy surely is hard to come by.
