Next, Stop Christmas (and 2011)

The Sven movie was a silly Munsters t.v. movie, but the Hallmark option was pleasant enough. Hallmark already had a movie where a white woman (noted since there are a notable number of POC films now) goes back a relatively short period of time (less than twenty years). And, both were pleasant enough, this one a bit more rough around the edges.

The "in" joke, and one many younger viewers might miss, is that Christopher Lloyd and Lea Thompson (again as a mom, but just one now) had supporting roles. Yes, the Back to the Future duo. There was a Terminator joke, but it would have been amusing if there was another reference. And, this is a "2011" version of 2021, since no one is wearing masks. Well, except while she is in surgery. Apt for Daylight Savings night though.

Anyway, some time travel confusions (she switches to "2011" mode down to her phone, but will she remember all that changed in 10 years? Not right away). And, like the other film, the time traveler helped her parents' marriage some. With a time traveling train and a love interest racing to catch it (he does not, but sees it disappear, so guess he knows for sure), a call back to the third movie where he did catch it would have been cute.
