The author of the source book for the ESPN mini-series
The Bronx Is Burning is not exactly the first person I'd have in mind to write
a book on the
Hamdan case. It was pretty good, focused (maybe too much) on the two lead lawyers for Hamdan, Katyal (immigrant success story) and Swift (navy brat). Not enough law. And, with Hamdan's actual trial in the future, a flawed Military Commission Act, and "to be continued" unclear future for Lt. Cmdr. Charles Swift, the ending leaves one hanging. Mixed bag, but worth a look.
