A discussion of a "religion" claim involving marijuana provides a good summary of the broad definitions of "religion" as understood by the courts. Another spells out the difference of Rastafarian general use and peyote use, especially as applied to Native Americans. Reasonable but the mind altering and cultural/spiritual aspects of marijuana remain one reason why it should be legal given its relative safety vis-a-vis other things.
