After a good autobiographical first chapter, the author (a lawyer/speechwriter of Martin Luther King Jr., writing in 2008) discusses such issues as affirmative action, antisemitism, black leadership, the war in Afghanistan/Iraq and illegal immigration. He does so all too often with a heavy hand and repeatedly using right wing talk show level discourse. His chapter on the war was pretty bad but some of his language when examining Mexican border issues etc. was downright offensive. Overall, it was a rather disappointing effort.
